Bristleface
Bristleface was a joint project of Dramazing Productions and Platypus Theatre which premiered in September 2012. The production, based on a classic American children's book, was adapted as a musical and featured youth actors and puppets. The play tells the story of an orphan boy who finds friendship, support and family with a lost dog, an easy going shop keeper running for town sherif, and a strong willed widow farmer.
The production aimed to engage youth actors and audiences from both professional and housing estate backgrounds, and use the experience of theatre and the play's positive messages to entertain and inspire the community.
