Matilda's Project
Matilda's Project is an Australian theatre production written, produced, and acted by Danny Gibbins, Dramazing coordinator and teacher, in association with other qualified educators. The show debuted as part of the 2012 Midsumma festival in Melbourne, Australia at CERES in Brunswick.
Matilda's Project was written to break through the stereotypes and present a more balanced perspective of what constitutes family. Through the sharing of Australian books and personal stories, games, songs and art the audience is treated to a light-hearted, funny, and inspiring experience that promotes inclusion. The play featured the delightful children's music of Alice Garrick www.alicemakesmusic.com and 3 Australian books about different types of families.
